WE ARE TASTE BUDS

ABOUT Pasticcio

Since I was a kid I have always watched mum cooking and always loved playing with pans and pots. my mum wasn't the kind of mum that wasn't allowing me to touch knives, she teached me how to use them and then I was the one chopping onions with goggles, masks, holding water in my mouth and all those tricks that you enjoy trying when you are a kid, well I tried them all...and that's how I learnt...little by little.
Mum used to throw home parties all the times and I was the one in charge of setting the table, helping cooking and most of the times the one washing the dishes...since one day when I was 16 I decided to throw a party my self and instead of buying lots of alcohol I bought lots of food and had a 3 course meals dinner with my friends. It was a great success, everyone seemed to enjoy it, so it became a monthly thing 'till the day I moved out and then to New Zealand.

l was 22 when I decided to go live by myself and 23 when I moved to New Zealand; surely that's when my passion for food got more serious and I started to learn more and more. In New Zealand there's a big food culture, you see it in restaurants and bars and people eat quite healthy but l can't say young people cook much at home, thats why it was a huge pleasure to invite my friends for dinner and let them taste the Original Italian Recipes that they wouldn't found in any restaurant in the down under.

The idea of Pasticcio.foods was born in Auckland in 2011, l wanted to open a take away gastronomia with delicious food from italy, if we think about it there's Thai, Indian, Chinese, Japanese and the only italian take aways are...PIZZA!
My idea of take away was different, it was a place that sells lasagna, arancini, parmigiana, saltimbocca ecc ecc, all type of food that grown ups and kids love but can't make in the everyday life.

Unfortunately (or fortunatly in this case) life changes quickly and I decided in 2014 to move myself and my passion for food back to Italy so I could be closer to family and be in my home country, I felt in love with a beautiful italian and now l'm cooking for him, our friends and family in our beautiful house in Padova.

After a few years the idea of Pasticcio.foods was still there, that's why I started an Instagram page, a Fb page and now the website and Blog...apparently all this is a must in the food industry (and not only).  Slowly I started cooking for friends parties, my girlfriends started asking me for recipes and to show them how to cook this and that and that's when I had the brilliant idea of the Home Chef and the deliveries and this is where I am at right now!

I enjoy very much this job, it's my passion and I get to know a lot of new people and chat and decide menus for dinners, parties and special occasions... I could cook all day and night and still be very happy!

Hope you enjoyed my story and hopefully l can help you with recipes anytime you have a party, a special guest, a guy or girl to impress...so CLICK LIKE or CONTACT ME and enjoy the journey with me!
